Dartfish.tv and Software ensure success for Leeds Carnegie rugby team

May 14th, 2010

The use of dartfish.tv and Dartfish TeamPro software give the Leeds Carnegie rugby players a competitive edge over their opponents.

The In-Game tagging function of the software allows the team to easily and efficiently categorise and manipulate events.

Leeds utilise their own personal dartfish.tv channel, allowing Gilles Lidsay, Head of Performance Analysis, and his team to publish their generated content directly from Dartfish to a web-based platform. It thus provides them an effective means to store and categorise detailed analysis presentations and allows the Leeds players remote access to their video analysis.

“With dartfish.tv we can increase the contact time between the coaches and all our players. Playing staff can log on from any location and view a coach’s generated video content, supplemented by audio commentary, without having to physically come to the training ground.”

World champion figure skater achieves spectacular jumps with StroMotion

February 12th, 2010

Kim Yu-na of South Korea, the reigning world figure skating champion, achieves her most spectacular and difficult sequences with the help of StroMotion.

StroMotion, a strobe-like effect that breaks down high-speed tricks into frame-by-frame snapshops, allows Kim and her coach to clearly see all the stages of her triple lutz-triple toe loop. It is one of the most difficult jump sequences that will be attempted by the female figure skaters in Vancouver.

Check out the New York Times, dated Thursday, 11th February, 2010, to see the Dartfish StroMotion analysis of her spectacular jump!

Experience dramatic viewing effects with Dartfish SimulCam and StroMotion!

February 9th, 2010

NBCUniversal (NBCU) is once again using Dartfish SimulCam and StroMotion technologies to broadcast the Winter Olympic Games!

SimulCam, which NBCU is even calling “Super-Ski“, can produce a replay of a skier’s downhill run with a “ghost” effect that superimposes the course of a fellow racer. For even more dramatic slow-motion replays, Super-Ski will sometimes be combined with the feed from an ultra-high-frame-rate camera.

StroMotion, a strobe-like effect that can break down high-speed tricks into frame-by-frame snapshots, will be used for the snowboard halfpipe and freestyle aerial skiing competitions.

Cheersport and Dartfish work as one!

January 28th, 2010

Cheersport has teamed up with Dartfish to help raise even more the level of performances.

Everyone can benefit from Dartfish’s technology.

It gives competition judges more flexibility to analyse the routines by breaking them down in a variety of ways.

The advantages are also clear for Cheersport fans. Within two minutes of the routine, viewers online at home could view the routine on CHEERSPORT’s Dartfish.tv channel, an industry first in making competition routines available almost immediately to viewers around the world.

Let’s not forget the cheerleaders themselves! The Dartfish SimulCam™ and StroMotion™ technology allows them to see their mistakes instantly, and leads to a fast improvement.

“The video review process made possible through the Dartfish software will be fully integrated into CHEERSPORT Nationals judging process,” says CHEERSPORT President Kevin Brubaker.

The possibilities with Dartfish are endless,” says Shane Womack, Director of Marketing for Inside Cheerleading magazine. “This is only a preview of what is going to become revolutionary for the cheerleading world. I think this will forever change the way competitive cheerleading is judged.”

The Dartfish system can do just about anything- pause, slow motion, show angles of the body, just to name a few of the applications,” said Inside Cheerleading’s Jackie Martin.
