We are proud to announce that Dartfish users from multiple countries won 162 (62%) of the total) medals in Vancouver 2010. We wish to congratulate each one for their Olympic performance.
Athletes used Dartfish in their training routines, long before arriving at the Winter Games, to analyse their performances and correct mistakes, to evaluate their opponents’ performances and to increase their chances of taking home the coveted medals.
What’s more, the Dartfish unique StroMotion and SimulCam features have been used by broadcasters around the globe to enhance production and create stunning analyses for the worldwide viewing public.
This slideshow shows some very impressive figures taken during the free figure skating competition of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
The Dartfish technology StroMotion was used to create these pictures by compounding the video images into a frame-by-frame sequence. The evolution of an athlete’s movement, technique, execution and tactics over space and time are revealed with StroMotion.
Young ski racers throughout the United States are already training hard to reach their dream of being an elite athlete of the likes of Lindsey Vonn and Bode Miller.
The man in charge of finding the new generation of ski racers and developing their talent, Jon Nolting, has turned to dartfish.tv to help him reach his goal.
By publishing videos on his channel on dartfish.tv, he is able to provide instructional resources to ski racers situated in different locations. Young athletes can thus raise the level of their performance by viewing analyses of their own races and videos analysing the techniques and tactics of skiers who have already reached the world-class level.
Kim Yu-na of South Korea, the reigning world figure skating champion, achieves her most spectacular and difficult sequences with the help of StroMotion.
StroMotion, a strobe-like effect that breaks down high-speed tricks into frame-by-frame snapshops, allows Kim and her coach to clearly see all the stages of her triple lutz-triple toe loop. It is one of the most difficult jump sequences that will be attempted by the female figure skaters in Vancouver.
NBCUniversal (NBCU) is once again using Dartfish SimulCam and StroMotion technologies to broadcast the Winter Olympic Games!
SimulCam, which NBCU is even calling “Super-Ski“, can produce a replay of a skier’s downhill run with a “ghost” effect that superimposes the course of a fellow racer. For even more dramatic slow-motion replays, Super-Ski will sometimes be combined with the feed from an ultra-high-frame-rate camera.
StroMotion, a strobe-like effect that can break down high-speed tricks into frame-by-frame snapshots, will be used for the snowboard halfpipe and freestyle aerial skiing competitions.
Thanks to the latest developments, dartfish.tv is now more user-friendly and intuitive than ever before!
The last release sees improvements in the navigation and keyboard functions in the web player. Simply use the spacebar to play & pause a video clip, the left & right arrows to move from frame to frame and the up & down arrows to navigate from one key position to another. What’s more, you can now print and add global audio comments in an embedded player.
Cheersport has teamed up with Dartfish to help raise even more the level of performances.
Everyone can benefit from Dartfish’s technology.
It gives competition judges more flexibility to analyse the routines by breaking them down in a variety of ways.
The advantages are also clear for Cheersport fans. Within two minutes of the routine, viewers online at home could view the routine on CHEERSPORT’s Dartfish.tv channel, an industry first in making competition routines available almost immediately to viewers around the world.
Let’s not forget the cheerleaders themselves! The Dartfish SimulCam™ and StroMotion™ technology allows them to see their mistakes instantly, and leads to a fast improvement.
“The video review process made possible through the Dartfish software will be fully integrated into CHEERSPORT Nationals judging process,” says CHEERSPORT President Kevin Brubaker.
“The possibilities with Dartfish are endless,” says Shane Womack, Director of Marketing for Inside Cheerleading magazine. “This is only a preview of what is going to become revolutionary for the cheerleading world. I think this will forever change the way competitive cheerleading is judged.”
“The Dartfish system can do just about anything- pause, slow motion, show angles of the body, just to name a few of the applications,” said Inside Cheerleading’s Jackie Martin.
